Created by Jade Friend & Tung Lam for the 2024 Panic Horror Jam.
In an abandoned film studio, an editing room lies in ruins and yet the lights are seen shifting inside and deep mechanical roars are heard from the inside in the depths of night.
Following the theme "False Safety", the player's reliance on light is detrimental to their playthrough, as it disguises the beam of the monster's view and the monster is angered by lights, especially in their treasured darkroom..

This was great fun. Love the design of the Editor. It was really intense getting cornered with no way out. Ending was very effective.
This game was intense!!! The Editor had his way with me... cornering me and slicing me apart making his final cuts. Over and over. I was no match for that contraption. First time I encountered him he came barging through the doorway as I was about to walk through. Absolutely terrifying. Cutscene at the end when you beat it is a cool payoff too.
OOh, interesting.
I haven't tried messing around with shaders and post processing a lot, but that visual effect that you have (the one that kind of seperates r, g, b) is really cool! The game looks cool, and I like your page colors--they are very calming honestly (theme implementation achieved :D)...though some screenshots would be awesome.
Anyway, thanks for submitting to the Panic Game Jam!!! Amazing work. If the game is finished, I may play it Live soon. Though that's not a promise!!!
